only their mortal bodies die, they will revert back to being Artemis and Loki

And it's actually a much more convenient scenario for them to die, coz they will just revert back to their godly bodies, and then all bets are off

i.e, he needs a wand to perform magic

Here's the thing though, for all of his spells and experience as Loki, he's bound by the mortal constraints of the body of James Potter

So this is a HPxPJOxMC Comics crossover story, so Loki is the Marvel Loki, while Artemis is the PJO Artemis

Technically he's somewhere in between a demigod and a god, as in (by sheer technicality) he's not a Demigod (as that requires atleast one mortal parent). But he's not a god either (as he doesn't have a domain)
