Some people have family, friends and connections that they would want to return to because you may not be talented in that said isekai world and die off immediately. h However I understand your opinion about them and I would agree if that was there goal throughout the novel.

Power in the cultivation world is akin to money over here. That means if one person is concentrated resources while the other people who don't have parents with enough resources would fall and eventually the rich would take from the poor to get more resources and the cycle would go on.
