100%; at the same time we don't see much of itachi growing up (or madara for that matter) so that's okay to do. But defying the odds and struggle keeps readers coming back. In other words, as long as mc is shown to put in effort and hard work I'll be satisfied (that's just me tho it author-samas story)

Just some advice, please don't make him too powerful too quickly. It can break the emersion. Even with limitless potential, time is still an important factor. Not only will a seven year old kage level mc have no where to go after that point, the enemies and struggles he faces won't hold any weight. If you think back madara and hashirama themselves only reached full potential in thier early twenties. I hope this advice helps.

I like the story; its well written and the characters have intresting interactions. That said, it feels like some of the relationships are developing a little too fast, not just the romance, the way they speak to each other, it's like they knew each other for what seems like 6+ months, but its really been a few weeks. I'm not asking for, or want edgy teen drama like in the original story, but I think slowely developing trust between characters would improve the quality of the story before all you have left is the villians fights. That said, I 100% recommend people give this a try, it really is a lot better than 90% of whats being updated on this site right now.

Really well written, characters feel alive, and while some moments could use more build up, the quality is matching that to some of the classics on this site.
