I agree, that would work, but that was not what I was asking. I was asking the author if they had forgotten or decided to ignore the fact. Also adoption is not usually the first choice for men.
So is it supposed to be 10 million? because it reads like 100 billion with a missing zero in english because of the placement of the commas. In english commas are placed every third digit. The first three digits represent everything below 999, the second represents everything below 999,xxx. And so on and so forth going from hundreds, thousands, millions, billions, trillions, etc.
You need to throw in some quotation marks and what not through your story properly. I do not think you will get many good reviews without structuring your story properly. Separate actions, thoughts and dialogue at the very least where it is easily readable.
Ah.. how to translate.. calling the orphanage St.Welsh Orphanage is like calling it Saint Delhi Orphanage or more closely translating to Buddhist Tamil Orphanage. I know Delhi is nowhere near the Tamil Kingdoms of the past, I just was trying to think of a similarly equivalent to Wales' situation to England. A saint is a person who was "so good in life" that in death they were granted a special title in a Christian faith. What I was saying was there are a lot of saints and a lot of orphanage's in the past named after them that it didn't really make sense to not use one. Plus the canon harry potter orphanage is Wool's Orphanage; which is the Orphanage that Tom Riddle aka Voldemort was raised in.
Ah. Unfortunately, it created a misunderstanding then. Welsh is a term meaning it comes from Wales. If it was a Welsh person saying that that they were Welsh they would say they were Cyrmo(Singular) or Cymry(Plural). Draigg would be the Cymro Draigg meaning Welsh Dragon. If a persons name is Welsh I do not know where it comes from to be honest but there are so many Saints in Christianity you didn't need to use Welsh except for your fascination with DxD at the time. But I will be honest with you, your story reads pretty badly in English. It reads like a Urban Chinese Cultivation Novel that got a Harry Potter make over rather than a fanfiction of Harry Potter.
Shouldn't even know that Honeydukes exists.
He shouldn't know or understand the term Muggle unless it was explained to him between scenes written.
He shouldn't know what a hippogriff is yet.
It reads like any other Cultivation Novel that was poorly translated. I found the concept behind the fanfiction the be interesting but nothing special as it is bog-standard for Urban Cultivation novels with a hint of transmigration. Naming conventions that the Author makes follow the standard foreigner liking the sound of something and running with it even if it is very disingenuous to the culture that they are trying to represent with them.
I feel like I should let you know that Surrey is very much not Welsh or in Wales. Surrey is on the eastern part of the island while Wales is on the western. Surrey is also south of London if that gives you any context clues. While it isn't impossible there is a Welsh orphanage in Surrey, I find it unlikely it would be coined Welsh. So I guess I have to ask did he move in this first 10 years of life?
