Should be protosynthesis

This fic checks a lot of boxes for me. It’s lighthearted but not superficial. My only critique would be that some chapters feel a bit scatterbrained, for example having a multi-week timeskip within a chapter that isn’t a training montage. That could just be my personal bias as a reader, though. Looking forward to more chaps!

Does this contradict Ace having to start at 16 in chapter 1? Or is it a regional thing?

1. I’m not an author, but I’d imagine it’s much easier to find 100 readers at $1 than 1 reader at $100. I’d consider paying for advanced chapters if the pricing aligned better with comparable stories.

Plotting from someone within the village? I thought they rooted out all the major troublemakers by now. Am I forgetting someone? It was my understanding that the new barrier would prevent outside influence. Unless I’m misremembering.

Lots of unexplained elements going on. The wrong pronouns are used more often than I’d like for a paid novel. The biggest reason behind my rating is the fact that there are too many unexplained elements which makes it feel like there are plot holes. The two main characters talk as if the reader has all of the necessary context, but it doesn’t get explained until a subsequent chapter (if at all). The unnecessary mystery isn’t for me at least.

Really didn’t like the character development in this chapter

The first few chapters are messy. The cheat isn’t well explained but is mostly self explanatory. 3 stars for writing quality mainly because it seems to rely heavily on ChatGPT. I will continue to read for now.

Pretty sure boy, but the pronouns are so messed up that I’m second guessing every sentence.

This is it for me. I don’t really understand the mc’s thought process, values or idea of justice. This makes it tough to enjoy a marine-centric OP fic. Maybe things will improve in the future. Best of luck either way.

A really compelling storyline. Additionally, you can tell the author has improved since his last fic. They still use an AI editor but generally the author does a good job of avoiding some of the common flaws that you see in other fics. On another note, I hope the Pokemon fic comes back eventually.

There’s a lot about this book that I really enjoy but it’s also very hard to truly love. The good: - World building - Side characters have depth - Combat The not-so-good: - Increasing number of mysteries with very few questions answered - 600+ chapters and I feel like the MC doesn’t know much more about himself than at the start - The pacing (how is the MC still level 50?) at this rate I’ll be old by the time the main cast catches up to the real threats in game. Or the pacing is going to get all wonky. Other: - Feels like the MC should have been able to do more with his past memories. The fact that those memories are fragmented isn’t my favorite. But maybe it’ll matter more in the future.

Do these actions have to do with the soul issues he has? Seems awfully vindictive to me.

Maybe it changes in future chapters but some of the paragraphs tend to be a bit long and hard to follow. Maybe consider breaking them into smaller sections. Just my thoughts, feel free to ignore.
