Hello, thank you for reading my story passionately and leaving comments ^^ The author is a woman, yes. But let's focus on our ML (George) who has a complex towards Cynthia for failing to protect her - keep in mind that for a long time he was the adult and she was the minor. He makes a mistake (he thinks it's a mistake for sleeping with her the day she turns 18) and then he leaves her, an orphan loses her guardian. What happens next? She ends up with the wrong man (Henry) who's just his mama's boy - and his mother happens to be a psychopath. So now, put yourself in the MLs shoes after years of abuse, the one woman you loved is broken to that extent, she views her ex as a victim (which he is), she shares a son with him, and <not sure if it's a spoiler at this part or not> but George and Henry are also half beothers. Even if he didn't share an ounce of blood with Henry, George is determined to fix Cynthia. She will break him along the way, and yes, she will take responsibility for him and be the one to take care of him then. They still have a long way so I advise you to read till the end before you make a final judgment if you're still interested in their story. If not, there are soo00ooo00oo many other books on this platform that I hope will leave you with better feelings.

It's not about time, though time is a part of it. It's the disappointment of not going anywhere when you're truly devoted, like you're in this unfair relationship that's sucking the soul out of you yet you're not letting go thinking things will get better but they never do... </3 Drama aside, I will finish the two books I still have ongoing with WN because I'm not someone who tolerates things half done no matter what...
