Ya no you can be a seal and a marine at the same time and not answer to the navy I already explained it you nitpicked what to reply to though
You do not have to if you are specially good the marines will choose to keep you and you can be a seal it happens you can search it up it falls under special circumstances. This happens because it allows the marines to recall you from SEAL duty if they need you and you bring back your skills for training or a mission they have need of you for.
Marines have been in the navy SEALS but answered to the marines it’s not a normal thing but it happens. A "Marine who was in the Navy SEALs but still a Marine" refers to a person who served as a Marine first, then transitioned to become a Navy SEAL through an inter-service transfer, meaning they technically remain a Marine on paper even while completing SEAL training and operations within the Navy; essentially, their primary military affiliation stays as the Marine Corps despite serving with the SEALs
You don’t suddenly not become a marine that’s not how it works just so you know. Also the way to get the training is marines will sometimes do other branches special forces training when they want someone to learn something so marines do have the training to transfer right to the seals. Also anyone who has actually been a SEAL can tell you even if they don’t understand why that some members of the SEALS weren’t navy and were army or marines etc. it’s because like always special sircumstances do allow for exceptions to everything it’s just not something anyone who hasnt been in the SEALS talk about I know my uncle talked about it when my father who was a marine managed to join the SEALS without joining the navy and was for some reason still part of the marines heck if you even search up if it can happen it just says it doesn’t happen under normal circumstances.
Ya that site that you keep using or whatever you keep searching up is giving you weird results. For one it says they are separate branches but they haven’t been for a long time so that alone disqualifies that and you don’t have to join the navy my screenshot explained that already. As they are both in the navy you can transfer right to the seals if you have met the requirements while you won’t be a marine anymore you won’t be part of the main navy either as like the marines the seals are their own thing in the navy so you go straight from a marine to a seal. If you don’t have everything done for the Seal training requirements it is at that point you would have to join the NAVY and then immediately finish whatever and you can join it’s a pretty easy process and joining from the marines gives you an edge with better and more similar training etc. it’s why that even though marines make up the smallest amount of personnel and the least amount of commits to SEAL training that they have the highest pass percentage and make up 15 percent of the SEALS, when you become a SEAL you are technically in the NAVY just like the Marines are technically part of the NAVY but because the marines had their own command and branch before and are the only branch that only answers to the president you can’t be a marine once you join the SEALS it’s why you are now considered in the NAVY officially. But yes you can if you have meet requirements go right to the SEALS and not even really join the NAVY except when you become a SEAL
Ya so I wonder what you search because an actual search shows they can as they are both part of the same service the navy and it only requires an inter service transfer which are easy
That’s not even remotely true
Marines are in the navy it’s why they don’t have a school as well
I think he means marines first and then delta. Delta only recruits from other branches
Marines are actually in the navy as well it’s a great way to go first and the best to do it to go from marines to delta to seal or skip delta
