nah, you're over complicating this. I considered this a plot hole like many in the series. author probably didn't think much about it at the start or it's cultural difference.(not saying pedo is acceptable but some cultures are more sensitive to it than others. it didn't occur to author that he might be precieved as a pedo he just wanted plot to continue) and it doesn't line up with Xiao Yan as a character. he was one of the better Mc's.

don't worry about him, author you're doing great. I put this story in my library for months before starting and i Loved it so far especially the MC's personality. he's ruthless only when it's beneficial and not like an edgy kid who wants to prove he's a villain when unnecessary.

by the way can someone explain how the leveling system in webnovel works. this guy and i both have 800+ hours of reading but he's lvl 13 while I'm stuck at lvl 4.
