The only thing I'd add is if perhaps you could add some more sensory language and more imagery to make it more immersing? For example, "In the depths of a very cold and dark place, the darkness against my skin feels like a heavy blanket. Suffocating and squashing any hint of light. Its chilling darkness seeps into my very bones, settling in with an icy grip." A line like this can draw more readers in and it sets the setting. You're free to use this by the way! Anyways, I love the story you're going for! Keep up the good work!!
