I feel like the reason Hazel was able to see his memories and not afraid of his powers is due to her being, in lack of better words, his soulmate. I also feel like Hazel may come to have powers of her own that she is unware of at this time

I just started reading and am totally addicted to this story. I love the developing relationship between the two characters and seeing how they have grown and learned more about each other. Definitely some parts of thr story are very Era appropriate views but knowing the timr period helps to not be too turned off by the attitudes around women and marriage. Cant wait to keep reading and see the story thru to the end.
