First the “compensation” as you like to put it, is just treating their race as living beings that shouldn’t be slaves😐. Second it does deserve compensation because Harrison made it incredibly clear that no teacher ie anyone who has any idea how to form a domain from telling Atticus or any other student so he wouldn’t find out for a long ahh time. I imagine that him releasing mana that is equal to an expert+ is a pretty clear sign he is expert+. The skill only blocks the mana that is naturally produced it seems
