its main effect, if I remember right, was that it passively boosts the eather content of it's surrounding be quite a bit. this is beneficial to the world and can probably be used to sway its favour

having more genes than that's gives extra 'stat capacity' that isn't used, allowing that extra capacity to increase healing and allowing you to train. if you have enough genes for 100 stat in strength and only 90 stat, then you can train the last 10, but being at 101 with a capacity of 100 means training won't effect the stat
