Not really, have just been pretty busy with IRL obligations, and I am definitely going to update it once I get the chance, and hopefully, that's soon given I am a bit freer now haha.
You're right, author's maths are all over the place.
Indeed, I am starting to feel that the author didn't care at all about such important details. However if I were to give an explanation it would be the following : -critical hits don't cause fixed critical damage increase but rather depend onnthe nature of the attack. In the case of a ghoul decapitation would cause immediate death which wouldn't be the case for a skeleton for example. Hence the damage correction was applied to fit thr ghoul's maximum HP. Though i doubt that was author's reason...
I do agree to a certain extent however do keep tge following in mind: 1-there are many ways of increasing the damage such as stabbing instesd of slashing to possibly cause penetrative damage which partially ignores defense compared to slashing 2-hitting a "weak point" which would cause critical hits and thus increased damage. 3-level difference penalty, which may apply to all parties. In this case the power level players would deal less damage(although it didn't seem to be the case against the mobs he soloed at level 1) and the higher level party would deal more damage(possible here) 4-finally the fact skills may differ even if they carry the same essence. A shaby stab at an unstable angle cannot be compared to a stab of an experienced warrior, so it's worth keeping that in mind. With this being said, i have just started reading so it's highly possible it's a habit of the author to exaggerate the abilities of the MC without delving much into the mechanics behind them.
Although I respect your creativity in being able to write something original, such generalisations are very rude to assume. Plenty of famous others out there started out by trying to explore worlds set up by other authors, or study them by analysing them. Calling all fanfics "cringefests" shows a pure lack of objective criticism and inability to see the qualities needed to write them , even if they're based on other works, especially when most of those who write them are people who are unable to pursue writing as a profession and do it out of pure passion and admiration. Pretty disappointed that someone who is able to write multiple original works feels the need to antagonise and insult them.
Hello! Thank you for your honest review, I appreciate criticism such as yours. I do agree that in the later chapters(mainly the last 2) the system does seem to interfere a bit too much. This has been a hard decision for me to make, that being the threshold of the events' scale before the system directly interferes. Although it's more of a personal choice and not that coherent with the original work, I hope it doesn't damage the immersion of you and other readers' that much as it only serves to inform the readers of the impact of some actions and events and won't affect it directly. Hope you will enjoy the other works/chapters to come!
additionally, here's a quote from chapter 976 which contradicts that statement (it's most likely a plot hole, but since we're going with quotes , it's worth pointing out how contradictory they can be): ''The 600 elite soldiers of the Overgeared Kingdom were completely exhausted. They had already run out of potions to restore stamina, and their armor and weapons had become rags from successive battles. Furthermore, there were no blacksmiths or smithies in the evil eyes village to repair them.''
Stamina has a passive recovery, as shown later on in the novel with overgeared corn etc... although you can't recover stamina itself, you can increase the rate of regeneration.
Wrong, there are no stamina REPLENISHMENT potions, nothing says there aren't stamina potions that increase the stamina regeneration rate(regenerate twice as fast etc...)
Thank you! Hopefully it will live up to your expectations in the future as well xD
