what to say... Evidently, this isn't a great work of literature, full of beautiful prose and descriptions. If it is, the translator (whom i suspect not only isn't english, but is pretty bad at english even for a foreigner) fails absolutely at his job. In any case the translation is pretty terrible, which is average on this site. However, one thing saves this novel: character development. Absolutely heartbreaking stuff, showing real situations: what every fictions ought to be, in my opinion. Ultimately, if you can support inconsistant nouns, pronouns, overall bad grammar, and pretty standard story development for a xianxia, read this. Probably one of the best of its category.
