Just imagine two meter tall dogs with wings in rainbow colors. They vary actually. No one knew how many they are. Only they're two to five meter big and have bellies that have the same mass of a whale.

They're not the angelic bright light shimmering glittering with flashy wings species (those are angels, these are deities) nor "I'll pulverize you mortals into squabbling little dolphins" (yeah, definitely not Mr. D.) These beings are responsible for keeping the demons from crossing the portal between realms. Because they are only twelve of them, they've been doing a great job! (very responsible righteous deities, unlike someone who's rumored to be overpowerful yet, doesn't want to fetch his lost hammer because he's too busy watching Game of Thrones LOL).
