The entire night, he was able to catch a glimmer of sleep. He was too caught up with planning and plotting to indulge in a mundane task like sleeping. Thus Ashton wanted to get to at least level 50 before stepping foot into the swamps and Jonathan seems to agree with it as well. Ashton was a valuable asset for him. Therefore, Jonathan would rather have Ashton proceed slowly than jump headfirst into danger and lose Ashton.
