Honestly, I can only think of 1 novel off the top of my head that has a Mahayana realm in it, although i can't honestly remember what it's called. What is incredibly common, though, is Foundation, Golden Core, and Nascent Soul realms. Those realms or their equivalent [Foundation - Foundation Establishment - Core Condensing, Golden Core - Core Formation, Nascent Soul - Nascent <insert blah blah blah>] or whatever else thats basically those 3 realms, are pretty common.

This is actually beyond frustrating, and so, so, so stupid. Why tf would he flee??? There's literally no reason. It's not like he hasn't killed humans before or is super righteous or anything. He'd have access to who knows how many high-level techniques, the best teachers money couldn't even buy, probably a Nascent Soul level technique before or after he reaches Golden Core, more resources than he could know what to do with, and so much more for absolutely nothing! It'd require literally nothing besides maybe having kids, but even then, it's a good thing for him to have kids since it spreads his bloodline further! Like, wtf??? This is the most bs excuse for the mc to not instantly have access to tons of resources. He'd probably easily reach Foundation realm within the next few years and soar through the Foundation ranks almost as fast and maybe even faster than in his last life, and that was when he was spending his lifespan. There's not a single downside to this, absolutely none. Oh so what he has to tell them he met some old dude from the clan boo fuckin hoo. What does it matter if he's human or not? As long as his bloodline lives on and he keeps living, everything else is completely irrelevant. And the fact humans actively hunt him down because he has "Blue Eyes" (I'm just assuming something was last in translation because there's no way in hell every single person only has black eyes as was said some chapters ago. I refuse to believe that not a single person has green, brown, blue, or whatever other random colors it's a fantasy world) that he's luckily been able to avoid so far. First, it was some Foundation, and he barely escaped, and now he only escaped from some Golden Cores because the Spirit Clans help, and he wants to run back to humans? Like, mf, what??? Is the mc actually that fuckin retarded???

Pre alchemy ritual to get his mind focused. Makes sense, honestly. Plenty of people have a pre-whatever ritual that they do to get their mind in the headspace for whatever they're about to do, be it drawing or weightlifting or whatever else.

He isn't gender bent for that long, and it's an important part of his build that he has a male and female version of himself that eventually merges

Yeah, I've read stories where it goes both ways (less = better, more = better), and personally, having more spirit roots being better makes more sense to me.
