Can this app stop recommending stories glorifying r*pe, abuse and Stockholm syndrome! To cap it all off they slap a romance tag on it. It's totally offensive.
I don't know how I feel about this one. I guess I got so invested quickly that the ending felt a little bit flat for me. There was much to explore storyline wise with the main couple.
New addition to my growing reading list. I initially thought of dropping this story because I am not a fan of the abuse that some of the characters had to endure. I don't even remember if the chapters had chapter warnings regarding domestic abuse/child abuse. Fortunately, our main female lead and her brother get a break around chapter 36. I'm on chapter 46 now and I'm rooting for the children's success. I hope the next chapters would veer from the typical abuse p*rn most of the novels in this app tend to go for. Can we just have conflict that doesn't necessarily lead to bodily harm or near death situations unless they're towards the horrible dad, step mom and step sis? Those characters I'd pay extra to have some story arc devoted to their life long suffering though. I might still drop then revisit it later but so far, it's good.
I'm gonna apologize first as a warning... If you're a sucker for overwhelming CEO vibes and fluff, this might be for you... BUUUUUUT... I just think the story is shallow and the ending is dumb. Translation/ grammar is poor too. Apologies to the author if I sound harsh, I just couldn't sugar coat what I just read. I spent extra time reading lately since I can't get out of bed these days and this story unfortunately is a waste of my time.
Loved this! Just sad that it's discontinued. The last chapter could be okay but I need more fluff. Despite liking the story, I can't really recommend it because it's not really completed.
I've actually revisited the story but skipped quite a few chapters that were such a drag. I've cherry-picked chapters that I wanted to read and so far, as predicted, chapters from 160 onwards have been promising. It's back on my reading rotation and I hope it stays that way.
For a completed story, I can't recommend this. The translation is horrible and the storyline is awful. The story starts off with abuse and then drags on with more abuse, it's crazy. I don't even like both the leads. I'm giving the child character some grace though. I've been ranting on this app that it constantly drops stories and labels them completed. This time around, I'm gonna rant that this story needs heavy editing and a better storyline. Not because the author/ editor slaps an obligatory happy ending doesn't mean it is a good read.
Raw book with 1900 chapters? Any link on how I could get a hold of a copy? Thanks in advance. It's a great story but as I've mentioned in one of my reviews, the chapters are just too short. Would love to binge read this novel.
I'm having a bad feeling about the course of this story. If it veers to another idiotic "kind-hearted" arc. I'm dropping this. I've given the mom enough patience for her so called filial piety. Sorry (not sorry), I guess I'm too American to be able to connect to such a character. There's kindness and then there's such a thing as a pushover. I can't keep on reading about foolishness. (I gotta check Rednote for calming tea ideas after this rant)
I repeat...this novel needs heavy editing. Author can't keep up with her character's names. I'm already putting up with the short chapters then I still have to deal with names getting switched up. Better to use FP's then for these kinds of stories and spend coins on better written works instead.
