2.why does angie try to hide some of adams past her action contradict herself she is oldest and closest ally yet she looks almost scared of him?

i have read until chapter 10 and i have a few thing i would like to understand 1.according to you description this fic is based on retconning the second half of the last chapter of the prequel if so that means all of adams loved ones should still be in the orbital fortresses in the void where time doesn't pass so he could reunite with them after the hi3 scenario and since most of is power is sealed they would be around the same level and this time he would not repeat is mistake and learn to trust them as they work off is karmic debt right? (please maki it so i dont think anyone would want to keep living knowing they lost everyone they love and their unborn child)
