I noticed that the beginning introduces the parents and the second chapter 2 is when the girl little that's lock up, was reveal not to mention that she scared the heck of 'mother/sister" or whatever. He is known as the vampire who is a werewolf hunter. He is responsible for a lot of deaths of their kind. He has a story, one that is quite sorrowful but not enough to agree with his views. It all started 500 years ago when Cassius was still human. I have only heard the story; it is not a 100 percent factual. Cassius's whole family was murdered in cold blood by a pack of wolves. No one knows why there have been different reasons circulating but none have been confirmed.
