If you just wanted his sister to be able to interact with his Shikigami’s or to create fun moments as you say, you could have just made her a sorcerer instead, or one with enough CE to see Cursed spirits, instead of giving the entire human race the ability to see his Shikigami’s. How is he gonna be discrete when he’s around other humans or how is Jujutsu society still gonna remain hidden when people start seeing creatures coming out of shadows with powers that are practically godlike.
