Well Mahoraga was killed in that moment. It wouldnt make sense for his wheel to exist with him defeated. But the wheel Itself never took damage it just ran out of its supply of cursed energy.

Lowkey with the wheel broken unless he whips up an 11th shadow real quick with reality manipulation he might be cooked. Or possibly a binding vow setting himself as a dimensional anchor, allowing him to avoid merging at all. Sukuna is the merchant of binding vows after all.

I did always imagine the wheel would not be affected by physical damage since it's nature is to adapt not defend. It's also a spiritual phenomena compared to being made of atoms. But ig galaxy conquering comes with some indepth spiritual knowledge.
