Why does he have to change that
It wasn't that Harry wasn't excited at the notion of going to Hogwarts; no! It was something that he had craved since he was five and understood what Hogwarts was. But going to Hogwarts had a number of implications chained to it; for one, he would have to spend his months away from the castle he called his home for more time than he had ever been used to, returning there only for summer holidays; he was going to miss the place he grew up the most. Then there was the fact that he would have to keep up appearances all the time. It felt odd knowing that he was six inches taller than his brother but had never been able to actually witness it as the glamour worked just fine on reflective surfaces. So he could feel he was taller, he could feel his shoulders were wider, he could feel he wasn't the scrawny boy that looked back at him from the mirror. He just couldn't see it. At least his eyes were unchanged, Harry noted as the emerald green stared back at him everyday, the only truth in a visage made of lies.

Over the years Nyx had discovered that his body was far out of the realm of a 'normal human' and he was honestly thankful for it. He wasn't an avid fan of League of Legends, but he had watched a lore video or two, so he learned plenty about the horrors that lurked around every corner.

Why not become the most powerful wizard alive instead?
"I think I'll stay here until I graduate and do whatever comes next in life. I haven't exactly planned anything out." other than stopping Voldemort's rise to power, rebuilding my bond with the most powerful wizard alive and trying to meet my family who doesn't actually know I'm related to them.

No, Harry would have to rely on the help of Dumbledore even more so. With all that man had experienced, he had no doubt the man could be convinced of the truth of his story and help him with his missing or locked memories.

Voldy hasn’t gon on a killing spree yet
All the spectacles and activity really made him wonder what happened, though he supposed he knew if they'd not gone through the Great War or the Second World War; as young as he'd been when he last attended muggle school, he still remembered how high the cost of life was.

The dorm room itself was rather large, and contained five full-sized beds, each space contained a small desk, wardrobe, and bookshelf, as well as curtains that kept all out outside noise.

"I'm sharing a dorm with Tracey and two other girls named Millicent Bulstrode and Pansy Parkinson. Parkinson's a Malfoy lackey and I think he and she might be betrothed, too. Millicent's a nice girl, a bit overweight, and I think she lacks a friend.

Surprising Harry, she lunged forward and grabbed him by each side of the head, half yanked him forward and firmly planted a chaste kiss on his lips. Letting go of his face and backing off a little she blushed, then proceeded to attempt to hug the stuffing out of him for a few moments. Just as suddenly she let him go and stood back. Her expression gave Harry the impression she was shocked by what she'd just done. "Tinky," he heard Cygnus call. "Six champagne flutes and a bottle of light champagne, please. The good stuff."
