Lightsabers doesn't rely as much on weight and potential energy as traditional swords. All they need is to tuch, no matter the power behind the strike.

I think that the arcs have gotten better and better since the escape to the mortal world arc. Except the tournament.

The weird thing is, that this powerup seemed more deserved than when he became a runemaster. It's unusual to see a protagonist actually experiencing bad things, and maybe character development, other then in the first 5 chapters of course. I like it. I hope he doesn't go too edgy though.
