The fight was good, the story is good, its just the ends flops for character growth this is the worse way to do a character growth both Rex and readers, like getting humbled means someone or something must have affected him an oustide trigger, not him wasting his time to show off this is overestimating and stupidity not getting humbled. This got a strike for me if this happens again I'll fade away like my hype looking forward to this fanfic drop by alot it will take alot of effort to keep it again when i found this it's just wasted time for some readers but not for the writers growth

All the build up for nothing its like he's welf that just dealt damage and bell just take the spotlight plus, he's just show-off to what get nothing he grows strong by absorbing crystal and he got 0 too weak to move and alot of people are watching he doesn't need too be here. Fanfic are stories that deviate from the main plot or cast and making change like stealing growths the MC, like i legit just watch the anime nothing makes difference the remake is just Rex is just another welf but better nothing more no less, resources wasted for 0 its not getting humbled he just overestimate himself like the hype just flops it makes the Fic less meaningful than it was like he's Sidekick like you mention. Bell get strong he only get mentioned for KS and Rex will have a target on his back cause if realistically he should be hunted and he will grind in the deeper levels just to avoid it, he should just focus the grind and interact with other chara except the MC when needed.
