The celestial grimoire is a collection of abilities fitting a theme(in this case magic), these abilities are usually taken from CYOA’s and CP means ‘choice points’. While I don’t know what point method the author is using the most common method is 100CP per 1,000 words, with each 100CP you roll for a perk and either buy it if you can afford it or hoard the points for the next roll. There are a couple other celestial collections like Celestial Forge (Crafting theme) and Celestial Menagerie (Pets and animals)

Toaru - (if i remember right) Is the short form for ‘A certain magical index’ an anime with both ‘magicians’ and ‘espers Magicians manipulate energy and spout incantations but espers do insane amounts of mental calculations even for the weaker esper abilities. An example of this can be seen in a character with the ability to teleport herself and items she touches. In order to actually teleport anything she calculates the distance, the angle from her positiion, the exact co-ordinates and the energy needed to move the object from A to B.
