So many missed opportunities between the leads. Goes to show how much you can misunderstand someone when you only hear things from others and not face to face. Thankfully breaking through manipulation and deception led them to each other at last.

This book has a fast paced development but the author makes it smooth while keeping it logical. I will shamelessly admit I am a smut reader and this book has PLENTY to read.

One of the first books that drew me to this app and it did not disappoint. I love the face slapping. The author was really creative and snuck some surprises in here. I reread it every once in a while and can’t get enough of it.

After reading a couple chapters I can say it’s not bad per se but the author can work a little more on the development through chapters. Some events are split between multiple chapters and it feels weird to read the same thing again with just small details added to separate them. Basically just needs better oraganization when writing.

I don’t think so. If I’m not mistaken, didn’t it say that he only married madam mo because at the time it was what the parents wanted and he had a good impression of her? I feel like if anything his feeling for madam Mo were developed on gratitude. Especially since she gave him two children. So his feeling for Tang Wanqi should be more real.
