i really love this story. it's written beautifully. the characters, plot, world building, everything is so smart. even the little details aren't forgotten or ignored like lots of others. the only small thing I don't like is that the pronouns, he and she, him and her, are mixed up. it's mainly in the middle and later chapters but it's not a lot and the story is still understandable. the main thing is that the story is written so well. 5 stars for sure

so he's known her for so long, she saved his life by giving him the food that she should have eaten, she's paid for him to go to school, gave him money and food that she worked so hard for that her hands have frostbite and this a** believes what someone else said before he even asked her about it. he was definitely just looking for any excuse to break up with her. i hope he fails his exams and has to work as hard as she does

like silver_claw, I also feel like him picking up the stone, calling it a treasure and having the shopkeeper put it out in a visible place and instructing him to report it immediately was all intentional. he wanted our adorable little flower fairy to see it.
