male lead is trash but scenes with him are few compared to plot. story is entertaining and different, the horror parts reminds me of the old Chinese horror films. I shouldn't have read the water ghost part at nighttime, couldn't fall asleep.[img=faceslap]

this is a different setting and time in China and one I've heard of from my grandparents. it was in the brink of communism where rich or educated people were sent to "rehabilitation" to do forced farm labor and their wealth confiscatd from them. it was not a great moment in history in my opinion but glad that this is something different and it shows a non propaganda side on communism.
