Because Arthur transferred through timelines, so he didn't live in this world as Alexie Linan. But for Emma, she spent an entire year with Alexie as her close friend, only to realize it was Arthur all along. It's more of different perspectives rather than whether they had anything together or not. Emma feels things for Arthur that he does not feel for her, but for someone else.

Let me leave this here because it feels like an abandoned house without any reviews xD First of all, some of you might know me from my other works, also system-related. I am a great fan of the genre, and I like to think that I only get better writing it. This is my third real novel and I believe it will also be recognized by you guys! Rust is the main character of my novel, a young man with a nasty habit of laughing in the face of danger. He is both quick witted and reckless, making him an entertaining character to read. The world is set in a dystopian magical world, or rather say, several worlds stacked one above the others, collectively called the Shattered Realms. Rust lives in the Ashen Belt, the lowest realm there is, and he needs to face the terrors of the Hunger, a disease that turns humans into flesh-eating monsters, which inflicts his mentor and friend. This events leads Rust into obtaining a fragment of the sacred tablet that once held the universe together. The tablet shattered, and that created the Shattered Realms. The fragment is called the Ouroboros Fragment, as you can see in the title. Ouroboros is a symbol of a snake, or a dragon, that eats it own tails to express the cyclical nature of time. And then, the story begins of Rust using this new power that can control time to navigate through the Shattered Realms and reach the highest world, where the kingdom of gods once existed, and uncover why it fell into ruins. FAQ: Q: Is this harem? A: no, none of my works are. Q: how long will this story be? A: as long as it needs to be. Q: is there romance? A: there is always romance, but not a main theme in the story. Q: is Rust an idiot? A: he has his idiotic moments, and he has his smart moments. That's what makes him a multi-dimensional main character. If there are any other questions, let me know! Oriole is Arthur's best friend throughout the story xD I'm over 1200 chapters now and they are still challenging the world together. I'm trying to be more inclusive throughout the story but never intended for these moments to be seen as homophobic. Some other people commented that some villains were homosexual, which looks homophobic xD I have no idea why it would? Heterosexual people can also be villains, so it has nothing to do with sexuality. Thank you for the lovely comment! I'll pay more attention to the points that you mentioned.

It is almost over, but things will only escalate from now. Earth will have a big change because of Arthur's decision. Furthermore, this arc was an introduction to the backstory of the universe, which will be linked to Earth from now on. So although the arc is over, it'll change the story.
