This book, all in all seems stupidly similar to another novel by the name "Monster Pet Evolution". The initial start is the same, mc can't tame monster then poof can tame monsters, mc tries to learn how to cultivate monsters then does that and gets the money necessary to cultivate his own. This book on the other hand tries to make it easier to keep writing by simplifying the process required to 'evolve' a beast, therefore reducing events required to gain materials, while also trying make him seem more powerful, somehow? Reason for 'rating': The flow of the text is sometimes incomprehensible, or just doesn't work. Story is just a clear cut copy. Character design is shoddy at best, but then also somewhat of a copy. Don't care about updating since I won't read past the first 20 chaps. World background has a bit more content that is it's own, but most of it is still a copy. If this book isn't a copy or hasn't taken inspiration from MPE, then the author is just inept at researching, writing, and/or creativity. Contrarily, I highly would recommend anyone that sees this review to check out Monster Pet Evolution. It's finished and has a decently written story all around. The ending will throw you for a loop for a bit but it isn't the worst. TL;DR This books seems like a rip of another decent monster taming novel of the name Monster Pet Evolution, but it doesn't have nearly the same quality, imo.
its been years since I first read it, but I'm still as dedicated to only having my power stones go here, even after the 4 years. And I'll never stop, hopefully lol. Hope you are doing better, no one will ever be able to replicate your ability to write this book as it was meant to be.
Late to the party here, but I do kind of agree on the peanut butter part, but for a different reasoning. I personally have liked peanut butter for a long time. I don't avidly eat it since that's not healthy, but in a pb&j I always go heavier on the pb. The jam or jelly in it should always be enough to balance in some sweet and make the peanut butter not throat clogging. So, it's like an icing I guess. On the cereal points though, hmmm, logically yes for some cereals, for others no. Imagine eating Capt crunch, and getting the roof of your mouth torn to shreds, that soggier stuff at the bottom is a respite for your mouth. Cereal like frosted flakes, then milk first makes sense.
Sorry that is so long. I'm good at getting into the zone when typing out my opinion and push it too far. I'm REALLY sorry if you read that entire thing too
I don't read actively on here anymore so I can't give my power stones consistently, but this will be by far, my favorite book on this app/site. The main reason? It's mainly because, while I haven't reread it in a bit, what I remember from it was a MC that had a sort of respect for the critters he's gonna be living and fighting with. Not many books are like that and would more treat them as subordinates rather than family. Monster's Paradise is similar to this in a way but it's not as good in my opinion. This is hella late (3+ years) but I still hope you can recover and if you ever get the chance, I hope you can at least try to put a bit of elbow grease back into this book.
Our Lord and Savior has returned from the ashes to give jokes. Is a good day today.
