The novel keeps propping up this Ryu guy but doesn't give him any push back. The scene im reading right now is boring. Tge part where Elena keeps praising Ryu to high heaven is a classic mistake that some author make in writing. Its show not tell. If you keep telling people about his achievments instead of showing them it makes the story infinitly more boring.

isn't that a bit vain though ? And again it depends on a person depending on geography, Culture, religion and personality people might react in a different way using the same rating system over and over again will make the story repetative and boring.
