Zombie Life!!

They say it all starts when everything is normal..... until it's not.

A normal College life, a somewhat normal family, a normal romance life (... not yet). But nothing good lasts forever. There's always a beginning... and there will always be an end. And it will be right when we don't expect it most.

Damien Morales life was mostly normal. He was a typical dark haired, dark eyed American boy with slightly handsome features. He had amazingly good grades but was completely humble and determined, for some strange reason. And what he put his mind to, he would never change it, which is what led to the current circumstances.

Dinner time,

The room was silent and only the sound of three utensils clanging on plates were heard but, there were 4 people seated at the table.

"Over my dead body will I allow you to any damn Engineering course, when you have such talent in Medicine!!!!" *Baam*. The shout was accompanied by a loud slap on the table from a man, as his face turned red from anger, with his glasses almost falling from his nose bridge. He was identical to Damien, only older but with dark brown hair and dark eyes. Oscar Morales, was the name, Damien's father.

He was an expert in the medical field with a Master's Degree and a PhD with more than five awards under his belt. So, learning that his son had an even better academic talent than him, he did everything he could to steer him into the medical field.

"And over my dead body would I allow you to control the course of my life and what I want to bloody do!!" *Bbaamm* . Following his father's footsteps , he too slapped the table. But unlike his father, his side of the rectangular table cracked and the corner broke off.

According to a Doctor in the field, Damien was diagnosed with a strength disorder. Where by, his strength, speed and constitution would be twice as high as any other person his age. The amount of Army forces and sports agencies that contacted him every day were uncountable . But all the talks ended with a humble apology of refusal. After all, he didn't want to spend his life as an entertainer or defending this damn country.

"Enough!!!, You two. Damien, that's the third table this week and Oscar, if our son wants to do Engineering, let him. It's not like we can stop him." His mother's calm, logical but gentle voice cut off the argument as both men froze and continued arguing in hushed voices.

"Nonsense, I will not pay tuition for this rebellious phased interest."

"Hmph, I passed the rebellious phase a long time ago and besides, I can work part time and pay my own tuition." Damien snorted, as he had already thought of this for some time. When his unofficial girlfriend ( best friend that he likes) took him on a trip to her grandpa's a few months ago, he gained an interest in Engineering. Her grandpa was knowledgeable, had a strong will, a strong sense of humor and he greatly influenced Damien. After every two days, he would come up with a stupid excuse to tell his parents and visit her grandpa.

Her grandpa taught him all kinds of things like Metallurgy, Aeronautic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engine Mechanics and even Blacksmithing. The man had a flexible mind. There was even a time he took Damien to his basement. Whoe and behold, a blacksmithing workshop with tens of thousands of different weapons. "Grandpa, why dabble in the arts of cold weapons when we are in the era of hot weapons?" asked Damien. He called him Grandpa too. "Haha my boy, they are still used in the field , but for now they are just my collections" said Grandpa.

Her Grandpa took him to a lot of places. An Aeroplane garage, a car manufacturing industry, etc. Next week, they were supposed to go to NASA to check out their rocket manufacturing processes. He even taught him martial arts and an internal energy controlling technique which seemed like Tai chi. He was a mysterious man and every important person they met gave him immense respect. Grandpa's name was Richard Newman or as Damien mockingly called him 'the God of Technology '.

Now back to their father-son argument. Oscar, Damien's father, was flaring and he looked like he would blow up his top at any minute. " I will ask the University to expel you" he said. As he was a main Professor, council member and investor of the college.

"Then I'll just go to another one, the school isn't even that good in the engineering department." Damien retorted, as he also thought about this before. He studied in Princeton University, which was a national Ivy League school, known for their high achievements in Medicine. He even planned on transferring to Harvard University, if Princeton didn't give him anything satisfactory.

"I'm done eating. I'm going to my room and yes I have homework." His little sister who had been quiet all this time stood up. She was 16 years old. Three years younger than him and was about to graduate. She was quite a beauty with all her curves in the right places, white long legs and, a pronounced bust and bottom. She had a white goddess-like oval face with dark hair that had blue highlights at the tips and dark blue eyes. She was the lazy but smart type. Basically, the goddess of her school. She got all her looks from their mom and mainly never got into trouble because she was protected by her big brother. Her only flaw was that she easily got jealous and provoked, and didn't give a damn about what people thought about her as long as she had her brother. Alice Morales was her name.

"No! I am not done talking and we will talk about this as a family." He slapped the table again as he glared at his daughter, who gave him a helpless sign and sat back down. "You will not shout at her again!" Damien roared with a cold stare. "My house, my daughter. I can shout at anyone if I very well damn plea----!".
