Cassiel looked at the map before and he figured out they were surrounded by the mountains and forests. The village will surely have an inn which will be more comfortable for them, but he is unsure whether Violet could survive another two hours of howling.
The farmer, on the other hand, was already full of regrets for declining the offer. It was true that his herd caught the mysterious sickness, but with that pouch of coins, he was tempted to buy the new calves and start anew.
Cassiel took out another pouch and put it down in the same place as before without any sound. His action speaks for itself and both of them knew the meaning without exchanging the words. The man's eyes shook as he was about to jump at both purses. He behaved like a hungry wolf and was about to snatch the money when the shattering glass caught their attention.
