Claire's face was still flushed with anger as she walked away from the stone gargoyle. Ethan was walking a few steps behind her. The boy had a feeling that he needed to give Claire some "space" right now, or she might vent out her frustrations on him.

He didn't know that Claire was too busy thinking about the "IF" scenarios that would have happened to her if he didn't come to her rescue.

'If he didn't come to save me, they would have probably...,' Claire thought. 'Wait. I completely forgot it in the heat of the moment, but what is he doing here inside the maze?'

Claire stopped walking and turned around to face Ethan. It was a good thing that the boy was a few steps away from her. If not, he might have bumped into her because she suddenly stopped walking out of the blue.

"What are you doing here?" Claire asked.
