School life begins

I wake up in my double bed. It's morning. Today will be my first day in school. I'm both excited and a little reluctant. Reluctant, because I remember hating school in my past life.

I get up and put on some clothes, then go downstairs to get something to eat. When I arrive in the kitchen, I see Nem already eating. She has made a plate for me as well.

"Good morning." She greets me with a small smile.

"Morning. Thanks." I greet her back.

I start eating and soon finish up.

"Is Izanami still sleeping?" I ask her.

"Probably." She shrugs and responds.

I take out a spare phone with a sim, from a drawer. I set it on the kitchen table, then take a piece of paper and write some things on it. Then I leave it and go to brush my teeth and get ready.

Once I'm ready, me and Nemesis go to the garage. We could just walk to school or even teleport, but where is the fun in that?

The school is 3km away from our house, so I'm not keen on walking that distance.

We get into a black Nissan 350Z premium. It's one of the cars that I bought and I also had costum parts installed in it, so it's fast as hell.

I fire it up and take off. Casually hitting 110 km/h in a 60 km/h area. I accelerated to that speed in just under 3 seconds.

We arrive at school within 5 minutes. I park the car in the parking lot and we walk into the school.

Kuoh academy, the place where a part of DxD goes down. I can't really describe how I'm feeling right now. I mean, one thing is to see it in an anime, but to actually walk into and see it in real life...

Anyway. Nem just fucks off toward her class, where as I go to the principal to... sign in? I suppose.

I hit him up, he does his magic and brings me to the homeroom teacher. The homeroom teacher is male teacher x. He has black hair and is in his 40s.

"Hello. So you are the new student in my class. My name is Male Teacher X, nice to meet you."

We shake hands and head towards the class. They put me in 2-B, the same class as Nem and the oppai dragon.

The bell rings. Male teacher x heads into the class and says something like. "Hello class, bla bla. We have a new student today. Please come in."

I walk in and stand next to him on the podium. There are a bunch of different reactions.

"Please introduce yourself Azelia-kun." The teacher beckons.

"Yo, my name is Mitra Micah Azelia. Azelia is my last name and Mitra is my first. I'm 17, I like cats and my favourite food is pancakes. Good to know you." I smile. Then start walking down. Issei reacts when I said my name and is now staring at me intensly, so I guess either Chris or Nemesis have let my name slip at some point.

The teacher not expecting me to move so abruptly, stammers a bit.

"R-right, just sit in a free seat. Anyway, Azelia-kun is going to be with us from today onwards." He says and then starts homeroom.

The classes pass by normally. Some people came to talk to me during breaks, but I mostly chatted with Nemesis.

After school ends, Nem recommends me to visit the Sitri and Gremory peerages.

"Chris told me to tell you to visit them after school. He's heading to us right now." She announces.

"Good girl" I pat her head. Nemesis is 170 cm tall, I'm 185 and Chris is 195 cm, so if you lined up the three of us, we would look like stairs.

"Humph." She scoffs and looks away.

A minute later, Chris comes downstairs, where we're waiting and we move toward the occult research building.

"Chris, you get along with them?" I ask him

"Yeah, I'm in the same class as Akeno, their queen. I get along with her and Rias pretty well. We've been friends since last year." He casually says.

'It's cute how they assume, I don't know anything of the Gremory and Sitri peerage.'

"Alright." We reach the building and head inside. Chris takes the lead and knocks on the door.

"I already let Rias know that we are coming over after school, so they should all be in there." Chris mentions after knocking.

The door opens and Akeno greets us.

"Hello Azelia-san, Chris and Nemesis-san. Come in." She welcomes us inside.

Rias is behind her desk seated. Koneko and Issei are sitting on the couch and Kiba is making tea.

Rias stands up and greets us.

"Welcome Azelia peerage. I am Rias Gremory..." She says.

"Rias you don't have to be so proffessional. Our boss is casual, so just treat him as you would a friend." Chris relaxedly interrupts her and casually goes to the couch and sits down. He greets Koneko, who is eating cookies and snatches one from her bowl.

Koneko frowns a bit, but Chris just smirks at her.

"Yo. My name is Mitra Micah Azelia, but call me Mitra. Chris told me you guys are friends, so you should already know of my peerage, but for those who don't. Chris is my queen piece and Nemesis is my knight." I adress all of them. Rias comes over to me and shakes my hand.

"Nice to meet you Mitra. As for my peerage, Akeno is my queen, Kiba over there is my knight, Koneko is my rook and Issei is my pawn. You can also just call me Rias." She consecutively points at each of her members.

"Nice to meet you everyone. All of you just adress me as Mitra. Trying to be professional is just stuffy and boring." I look at them one by one.

Kiba comes over and offers me and Nemesis, who is standing diagonally behind me some tea.

"Please, sit." Rias beckons us.

Me and Nemesis sit down on the couch, next to Issei.

"Yo." I say to him.

"Yo." He greets me back on reflex. I smirk at that and sip on my tea.

"Ah, that's right." As if just remembering I call out and look toward Rias.

"I added a pawn just yesterday. I found her on the street. Some kind stray devil, so I exper... *Cough*, I turned her back into a normal devil and made her my pawn." I mention and play off my slip.

"Mm okay..." Rias says. She has a pensive look on her face, like she wants to say something worrysome.

"Don't worry about it. If anything comes up, I'll handle it." I dismiss her worries and take another sip of my tea.

*Sigh* "Alright"

Stray devils are to be killed on sight, so what I did is totally illegal, but whatever. I look around at her members and turn to her.

"Your peerage has insane potential Rias. If you ever go training with them, you can call us and we'll help you out."

"Thank you, I'll remember that." She smiles at me.

"Right now some fallen angels are running around in my territory. They even killed Issei." She says in a serious tone.

"What are you gonna do?" I ask her.

"Haah, I don't know. I warned them, but if they act up again, I have to go and eliminate them." She returns behind her desk and sits down.

"The black chickens huh..." I remember the start of the anime. Right now should be around the time where Issei meets Asia and the fallen angel crew starts making trouble. That motivates him to become stronger and ends up with Rias taking in Asia.

'I'm just gonna let it play out.'

"Cool. I'll be busy taking care of my new pawn, but if you ever need my help just let me know." I say to Rias.

"Alright, I'm out. She will get lonely if I leave her alone for too long." I say and stand up.

"Me and Nemesis are going home." I say and then turn toward Chris and look at him with a serious expression.

"Chris you know what to do." I tell him in a grave tone. He catches on quickly and nods back at me very seriously.

Then I snap my fingers and a magic circle appears under me and Nem. We teleport away. Casually forgetting to visit Sona Sitri.

Meanwhile in the room, after we left.

Everyone looks at Chris curiously, waiting for him to explain my final words. Akeno just asks him.

"Hey Chris, what did he mean by that?" She tilts her head as she asks. Chris looks at her, still with the same grave and setious expression.

"He meant that..." He pauses and keeps everyone in suspense.

"I can do whatever I want." He finally tells them.

"Pfft." Koneko does a spit take, but everyone else confused. Chris just smirks and doesn't say anything else.
