"Wait, did you say her name is Mary?"

"Yes"

"That bitch"

"Wait, you know her?"

"Yes she has been pretending to be Eric's friend since we moved here, I even hate her more than I do to Becky"

"Brianna you hate everyone in this school well except for me of course and your brother"

"Actually I hate Eric too"

"I know you love him so stop acting like you don't" I know I love Eric but at this moment I don't.

"I used to love him, as long as he is going to date that Mary girl I am not going to love him even though he is my brother and he always have my interest at hand"

"Why are you acting like you are jealous of Mary because she might steal the attention you are getting from Eric?"

"But wait, are you on my side or hers?"

"As much as I hate the fact that Eric said am like his sister which means he sees me the way he sees you. Just the thought of that is making me sad"

"That's more reason you need to keep fighting until Eric notice you, I don't want any other person around him just you"

"Thanks Brianna but the heart is sometimes very hard to understand. The person you like won't even feel the same for you"

"I need to go see Eric"

"Why?"

"To get grandma's chocolate back he doesn't deserve to eat not even a bit of it"

"No please Brianna let him have it"

"Okay"

"I need to join business class I will see you later" immediately she left I headed towards Eric's class and found him chatting with Mary.

"Oh hi Brianna" Mary greeted but I passed her not bothering looking her way.

"Where is it?" I asked Eric who was looking at me totally confused.

"Where is what?" Eric asked but I didn't bother answering him I took his bag and found the chocolate and took it.

"Brianna, Gia gave me that chocolate and am not letting you take it"

"I will like to but you don't deserve to eat this"

"Why, I don't get it?" He asked with that annoying smile on his face.

"You don't need to know why"

"Then you are not leaving here with my chocolate"

"Catch me if you can" I told him and run out but ended up bumping into someone, I looked up to see Dax standing right in front of me.

Him, again why can't I bump into someone else? I haven't gotten myself to see him as a bad person yet, am still curious about him.

"Brianna, are you Okay? How come you don't always look where you are running to?" He asked with a smile on his face before he gave me his hand to help me up.

"Actually I think you are always the one on my way" I replied him as he helped me up. Just then Eric walked up to me and took the chocolate from me.

"I can let you have any other thing but not this chocolate" Eric said and patted my head before he left.

"I will get back to you" I told him before he walked away.

"Are you always like this with your brother?" Dax asked.

"Is worst than this" I replied him, just then a girl walked into the class with tears in her eyes. I was surprised when she walked up to Dax.

"So I didn't mean a thing to you?"

"I didn't say that, I only said we were both having fun" I was surprised with the event, I didn't really believe I am going to witness this again. When it was Becky I thought maybe it was just Becky but I guess it isn't.

"You know what, you are just a fool" the girl said and slapped Dax across the face. I looked around and found some student videoing the event.

After the girl stormed out of the class I just stood staring at Dax. What is up with this guy and girls having to hit him all the time for dumping them, and he always have one thing to say, which is we were both having fun. How can he toy with people's emotions like that?

I walked out of the class confused and angry, I went in search of Gia and found her waiting for me outside our class.

"Brianna where have you been?"

"I went to Eric's class and it happened again"

"What happened again?"

"Dax, he treated another girl like she was nothing, the way he said we were both having fun like she was a thing he was passing time with"

"Dax is a jerk, that's one of the reason why am crazy about your brother, he treat girls the way they are meant to be treated"

"Yeah because am very sure all his life he has seen how my dad treated my mum like a queen. That was the reason he protects me so much"

"I will forever love Eric" Gia said with a smile on her face.

"Okay that's enough I hate it when you smile like that after looking so sad few hours ago, I thought you are over with him"

"You thought wrong, I dont think am ready to get over him yet"

"Whatever, so are you in the school group?"

"No, I never bothered entering since I heard it wasn't fun"

"In that group all videos or gossip are being shared there right?"

"I guess but what are you up to?"

"Nothing I just want to figure out something"

"Okay, let's go home I went to eat your mum's food before I go and besides I saved some chocolate for her"

"Fine let's go"

A week after the incident I started seeing Dax with a new girl. I decided to set a bomb and see when it will explode. I was also able to convince Eric to add me in the school group.

I only joined to watch more videos about Dax but it seems like the only video about him was the very one I witnessed. I don't know why but I just find myself getting involved in his life.

Eric had to travel for a week for his up coming exam to see if he will be accepted in his new college school.

I was so happy a whole week of freedom, I can finally go out freely without having Eric to interfere with it. Well mum is not going to complain as long as am with Gia.

I decided to spend the rest of the week at Gia's place. I got up this morning with a bright smile on my face, today is going to be awesome. No Eric to disturb me for a whole week.

While I was happy and all Gia was unhappy and didn't want to go to school she kept singing in my ears to call Eric.

"Gia if you don't start dressing up we are going to miss our bus"

"But I dont want to go"

"Gia, get up this instant" I said sounding like my mum when she is trying to persuade me to go to school.

"Then will you call Eric?"

"How about I give you his number"

"No is not going to be right if I just call him out of the blue but if you call him it will just be like a sister checking on his brother"

"Oh really, how about you call him and tell him that Gia you know the girl that is just like a sister to him just called to check on him, now go take your bath let's get going"

"Fine, you are no fun"

"I know"

I went downstairs and found our breakfast already on the table. I sat down and started eating why waiting for Gia.

I made sure I looked my best, while walking on the school hallway I was being stared at, I mean I took my time to look good this morning.

"Hey Brianna"

"Hi, am sorry do I know you" I asked the guy in front of me. I don't think I have seen this face before.

"Am Jake I just started yesterday"

"Wow, welcome to Freedom High School"

"Thanks, so can you show me around"

"Sure but how come you know my name?"

"I just heard your friend call you Brianna and decided to use it, is a very beautiful name"

"Thanks"

"So I will see you during the break time"

"Yeah, see you later" he waved me off and left. Wow he is so cool.

"Who was that guy?" Gia asked, I thought she left to see our English teacher.

"A friend" I said with a smile on my face.

"Are you sure about that, the smile on your face is so cool"

"His name is Jake and he wants me to show him around the school later"

"So that means you are planning on leaving me all by myself"

"You will be fine, come on I need to find someone that will ask me to prom, is just two weeks until the party"

"But I thought I was going to go with you, this is not fair. But wait Eric is not going to let Jake take you, the only reason you are even talking to him is because Eric is not here"

"Gia am almost seventeen so why can't I go to prom with a guy?"

"Like you said you are almost seventeen, you are still sixteen even if you are up to seventeen years I still don't think Eric will let any guy beside you. You my friend is going to be single for life" Gia said waving her head with a pitiful expression on her face.

"If am going to the prom single then so is Eric"

"Don't worry I will help you out"

"Wipe that expression off your face, you are sounding like is the end of the world. Eric will soon go to college and I will have at least two years to date any guy I want before I move to college"

"I hope so"

Gia said still keeping that expression on her face, I wanted to make her see that I can make my own choice with or without Eric but she wouldn't listen.

Just then our English teacher entered the class and we all went to our seat. During the teaching I couldn't focus, all I was hearing was Gia's words YOU WILL BE SINGLE FOR LIFE.
