She is mistaken for a spy, by one of the most influential families in the country and held captive as the confusion, mishaps and misunderstandings build up all around her. Under the extreme circumstance, Mina is thrown into despair, hatred and love all that the same time, but will the experience break her or make her ‘better?’ (This story is set in a fictional, modern day patriarchal society on the brink of a shift public opinion on the 'role' of the woman.) Excerpt: "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm stupid," Mina replied. The man laughed sarcastically. "I disagree. I think you are a very smart girl." "Being smart does not mean you can not be stupid." Who told her she was a genius anyway? ***THIS IS AN ADULT STORY WITH AN ADULT THEME. THERE IS VIOLENCE AND IMPLIED VIOLENCE. THERE IS ROMANCE IN THIS STORY, BUT IT IS NOT EXACTLY A LOVE STORY. ***

Chapter 803: Remembering

It was dark, and Mina was crying; she knew she was still dreaming, but as her memories slowly returned, they started to merge into the greatest hurt she had ever known. She cried so hard that it leaked into her conscious mind, and when she opened her eyes, the man she loved was holding her. Ian was softly shushing her, wiping away tears that followed her out of her dream, kissing her forehead gently, doing everything a loving partner would do, and everything Mina needed from him.

"I remember," she whispered. "I remember it all." Ian stiffened, not sure if Mina was referring to their past as well, but he got his answer before he implicated himself. "How could… I was so good to them…" Mina said, a hint of anger rising from within her. "I treated them so well, I gave them everything; I did everything," she continued. She was angry, no, she was livid; she wanted to know why, and she needed to do something about it.
