A Wedding Like Never Before

She never liked losing in a conversation.

"Huh." Her scoff was accompanied by the disbelief I know she didn't feel. Her mouth opened wide to brainwash me when like a transcendental Angel Helen came barging in. 

"Miss Venus, we are behind the schedule for the meeting with AS Directors. We need to rush." Hot on her tail, Venus's secretary picked up her Trench coat, purse, and laptop bag I didn't notice was by the sofa.

Venus looked displeased with the interruption of her needless rant but stood up anyway, keeping the basket aside. Only then did I notice the napkin she had placed on her lap. 

In her Business suit and impressive 6 inches heels, she stood hardly a couple of inches shorter than me. Her glossy Blonde mane still immaculately set in waves despite her arduous treatment of them from a while ago. 

She turned to me with a hardly controlled frown, "We'll pick the discussion from here in the evening."

Over my dead body.
