An Awful Lot Like A Date

As monumental as adoption day was, Claire still had to go to class at four. She would be on campus late to make up for the homework she hadn't done earlier too. 

"Hey, Claire," Wyatt greeted when he sat down next to her like usual. "How was your weekend?"

"Busy! But the good kind of busy. I officially adopted my cousin so all the extended family got together to celebrate. I'm going to pay for it later by having to do all the homework I missed though," she said with a shrug. 

"Ooh, that's rough. Family get togethers are always fun though. Are you going to be seeing them all again for Thanksgiving next week?"

"Most of them, not all."
