INTRODUCTION

The world hummed with a thousand mysteries, the echo of each riddle whispered through the breeze, each question hidden within the rustle of the leaves. Khada had never been one to resist a puzzle. A young man of seventeen, he found his home on York Island, an expanse of solitude and secrets left to him by his absent father. His father had been a Viatorum, an explorer of the unknown, and the islanders often filled Khada's head with tales of his discoveries, stories that made him feel both awe and skepticism.

One afternoon, Khada found himself nestled among the towering shelves of his father's library, nose buried in 'A Nomad's Journey.' His father had filled its pages with tales of fantastical beasts, their traits and habits penned with meticulous detail. Khada lingered over one particular entry about a creature called 'The Vividian Slump,' a being of fluid form that lived off sunlight and had an aversion to darkness.

As engrossed as he was in the book, Khada walked blindly through the library until his foot slipped on an unseen obstacle. His hand shot out for support and brushed against his father's portrait hanging on the wall. An unexpected click echoed through the room as a hidden door swung open behind the painting.

Khada's heart pounded with excitement rather than fear as he descended into the secret basement. He was a creature of curiosity; fear held no power over him. Candles flickered to life around him as he entered, their warm glow illuminating a large screen on which his father's image appeared.

His father's voice filled the room. "Hello there kiddo... I hope you are enjoying your life..." The message ended with a challenge - a test that Khada eagerly accepted.

Once the image disappeared, a golden grimoire floated down into Khada's hands. The script was in Yorkian, their native tongue. He delved into the book, his mind spiraling into the depths of its knowledge, feeling as though he had been transported to another realm.

When he finally emerged from his reading trance, he knew what he needed to do. Two days of meditation were required to transition from the physical body to the metaphysical, the spirit. The grimoire explained that this process would trigger the release of DMT from his brain, a potent psychedelic that could open up a new way of perceiving life.

Though the grimoire suggested a year's practice for achieving this balance, Khada was determined to achieve it in two days. Blessed with a photographic memory and an IQ above average, he was confident in his ability to rise to the challenge.

Thus began Khada's journey into the unknown, his steps echoing those of his father as he embarked on his path to becoming a Viatorum.
