Kakaknya sering memboyong buku hitam yang tidak memiliki judul kemana-mana, bahkan saat ia kerja. Walau begitu Wang Shao tidak itu dengan serius dan mengira itu adalah buku diary-nya. Disisi lain, ternyata selain tingkah laku anehnya yang memboyong sebuah buku kemana-mana, dirinya juga memiliki keanehan lain. Antara lain ia sering pergi untuk melihat jalanan dimana orang tua mereka pergi, ia juga sering menggumamkan sesuatu setiap malam dikamarnya. Namun, tak lama sang kakak menghilang secara misterius setelah ia berpamitan akan pergi ke jalanan gunung batu dimana orang tua mereka meninggal. Wang Shao awalnya sedih dengan kehilangan satu-satunya anggota keluarganya yang masih hidup ini, Namun dirinya akhirnya curiga ketika ia membuka penutup makanan dimeja makan. Disitu terdapat tumpukan uang dan tulisan yang memerintahkan untuk menggunakan setumpuk uang itu dengan bijaksana. Sorot matanya berubah menjadi rasa kekhawatiran. Dirinya berfikir bahwa kakaknya sudah tak mau lagi merawatnya dan memilih untuk meninggalkannya, ia menerobos masuk ke kamar kakaknya yang terkunci. Ia melihat ke arah meja belajarnya dan melihat buku diary milik sang kakak. Ia terkekeh karena mengira buku hitam itu adalah diary-nya, ternyata buku hitam itu bukanlah buku diary-nya. Melainkan buku bersampul kuninglah yang merupakan catatan diary-nya. Jika bukan buku diary-nya, maka buku apakah itu? pertanyaan itu kemudian melejit di kepala Wang Shao, ia menggelengkan kepalanya dan segera membuka buku kuning milik sang kakak. Ia membuka selembar demi selembar halaman diary milik kakaknya, tidak ada yang menarik perhatiannya sampai ia melihat sebuah tulisan angka Tulisan angka itu merupakan tahun dimana kedua orang tuanya meninggal, 1998. Tulisan itu bercetak tebal sehingga ia mengalihkan pandangannya hanya kepada teks dibawahnya. Alangkah terkejutnya dirinya karena mengetahui ternyata kakaknya telah menyembunyikan sebuah fakta tentang kematian orang tuanya dari dirinya. Disana menjelaskan bahwa alasan sebenarnya kedua orang tuanya meninggal adalah karena ada sosok dari dunia lain, yang merupakan sesosok wanita berbaju merah tengah melintas.
