Jake : 

Jake is a 20-year-old, friendly, and easygoing guy who excels in academics. With his natural charm and kind demeanor, Jake easily makes others feel comfortable around him, including Lia. While he enjoys studying and spending time with his friends, Jake is struggling with the challenges of a long-distance relationship. His girlfriend, whom he deeply cares about, lives in another town while he prepares for his exams. Though he never intends to mislead Lia, his warmth and attentiveness make it difficult for her not to develop feelings for him. Caught between his loyalty to his girlfriend, Jake faces a moral dilemma that complicates his otherwise steady life.

Jake's Girlfriend (Emily) : 

Emily is a bright, ambitious 19-year-old, studying in her hometown while maintaining a long-distance relationship with Jake. Independent and confident, Emily believes in the strength of their relationship, trusting Jake despite the distance between them. She and Jake have been together for over a year, and although she misses him, she understands his need to focus on his studies. Her character adds complexity to the story, as her unwavering faith in their relationship remains unwavering, while Jake struggles with his feelings.

Lia's Friends:

Mia :

Outgoing and confident, Mia is the heart of their small group. She's always the first to crack a joke and lift everyone's spirits, but beneath her bubbly exterior, she is fiercely protective of Lia. Mia gives Lia tough-love advice and is quick to notice when something's off. From the start, she's skeptical of Jake and frequently urges Lia to be cautious with her feelings.

Hannah :

Quiet and thoughtful, Hannah is the more reserved of the two. She's an excellent listener, often providing calm, measured advice. Hannah tends to be more empathetic, encouraging Lia to explore her emotions but also to proceed with caution. She provides a balancing force in the group, softening Mia's bluntness and offering a more grounded perspective to Lia's hopeful heart.

Jake's Friends:

Jay :

As Jake's best friend and closest confidant, Jay is direct and often acts as the voice of reason in their group. He knows all about Jake's relationship and, while he likes Lia, he's conflicted about whether to intervene or let things unfold naturally.

Steve :

The laid-back jokester of the group, Steve doesn't take things too seriously. He enjoys teasing Jake but steers clear of diving into serious discussions about Jake's complicated relationship situation. Steve is friendly to everyone and remains largely oblivious—or indifferent—to the tension between Jake and Lia.

Evan :

Thoughtful and more observant, Evan senses the growing closeness between Jake and Lia. Though he's not as vocal as Ryan, he's concerned about the potential fallout if things go wrong. Evan prefers to avoid drama but can't help noticing the tension quietly simmering beneath the surface.
