Chapter 10: Gone GIrl

Alaric POV

Perfect timing as usual Victoria, I think.

Raven and I fix our clothing while avoiding each other’s eyes. I’ve lost control. Again. Every time she is near I can’t seem to keep my hands off her. If she thinks werewolves are animals, I’m proving her right time and time again.

I just need to get her out of my system. It’s the mate bond drawing me in, so maybe if I can scratch that itch I will be able to get a handle on it. As long as I don’t mark her I should be ok.

Keep telling yourself that, a little voice inside me whispers. I ignore it to focus on the issue at hand. My on-again-off-again ex who doesn’t seem to get the message that I’m no longer interested and is currently trying to break down the door.

“She’ll keep hollering until I talk to her,” I explain to Raven. She nods curtly in response but doesn’t say a word.
