Crisis

"Charm, I hope you never wake," Kat said angrily. "Only you would be dumb enough to stand still and get smacked in the back of the head with a rugby ball. Was it just a ploy to make Brendan feel sorry for you?

Charm wanted to answer her with all her might but the gray faded away to darkness one more.

She laid there with her eyes closed, for some reason Charm could hear everything around her but she didn't have enough strength to reopen her eyes.

The door opened a few minutes later, Brendan and company strolled into the small bedroom.

"What's he doing here?" she heard Kat ask Brendan.

"There was a big accident on the field, with one of the players getting hurt and the nurse already left with the ambulance before I got there, this guy heard me asking and demanded that I take him here," he responded.

"Charm, are you awake?"

A deeper voice spoke this time and she recognised it instantly.
