Unbound Familiar

An avid gamer nerd's dreams come true in another brutal yet lucky? fashion. Follow him as he does his best not to die in laughably humiliating ways, all while trying to escape his abrupt and unwanted servitude. Will his knowledge of the world he finds himself help him succeed? Will he return home? Will evolve past his title of 'Dog'? Read and find out! This will be another multiversal world-hopping story, similar to my other one, EBW. I'll not spoil the surprise of the first world, but Skyrim will eventually be involved... And no, I'll not be adhering to plot, instead destroying it and hopefully not butchering the original story in the process. Derp-Flinger

"LOK VAAH KOOR!" a shout boom from behind the army as a ripple shoots through the air, through the magical barrier and into the mist. Once it connects, a shockwave blasts away the mist at its initial impact sight before causing it to disperse and thin out.

The Clear Skies shout only works properly on permanent formations however, allowing the mist to quickly retake the land it'd lost, before then thickening and pushing harder on the magical shield.

The shield begins shrinking in response, the mages unable to power it at its size any longer. Surtr uses the Clear Skies shout again, but it continues to fail, causing people to start bunching up around each other as the shield gets smaller and smaller.

The dragons above notice this of course, some swooping down and blasting the shield with dragon fire to get at the soldiers within, only to then get dragged out of the air by one of the few friendly dragons remaining.

There was only three or four left on Surtr's side, plus Paarthrunax, Durnehviir, and Illococoo, so they were struggling as it is against the twenty or so on Alduin's side.

"FEAR NOT! THE LIGHT GUIDES US!" Irarus roars as he raises his brightly glowing warhammer above him, the spell making everyone who sees it straighten their backs and pushing them to fight on despite the ever-worsening situation.

"SOMEONE NEEDS TO CLEAR THE DRAUGR MAGES OR THE SHIELD'S GOING TO FALL!" a College mage shouts.

Serana nods with a frown and sticks her hand out of the shield, quickly noting her apparent immunity to it. "We'll handle it!" she shouts, ushering the nearby vampires to run through the fog and deal with the enemy. Unfortunately, due to the incident with Surtr earlier, only a few had thought to stick around, betraying Serana and her tenuous grasp on the Volkihar clan.

"I-I'll remove the mist!" Tiffania states as she steps in front of the Crimson Demon clan, who were still randomly firing spells into the air as if they weren't on the brink of death...

*GRROAAAR!*

The Werewolf Vilkas breaks out of the hold the Companions had on him and rushed out of the barrier and into the mist, quickly succumbing to it like every other unfortunate man who'd been affected by it.

"VILKAS!" Aela screams out as Skjor pulls her back to prevent her from having the same fate.

"HE'S GONE! FOCUS ON THE BATTLE, COMPANION!"

*Duk! Duk! Duk!... Duk! Duk!... Duk!.....*

The sound of spells hitting the shield slowly comes to an end just as Tiffania's spell completes. "Black Hole!" she loudly intones while raising her wand, causing a black mark to appear in the sky above the battlefield, looking like an abyssal scar in reality itself.

Instantly as it forms everyone could feel themselves being pulled towards it as if they'd been caught in a tornado. Tiffania flicks her wand downwards and stops the effect on her allies, unfortunately, most of the draugr were too heavily armoured to be lifted, but the archers and remaining mages that the vampires hadn't killed yet were sucked into other air.

Most importantly though, the mist was quickly depleted, sucked up into the hole as if it were a chronic smoker.

One of Alduin's dragons attempts to stop this, using various shouts on it that fail, then resorting to simply trying to bite it... Which Ends up with its head disappearing from its neck as it passes.

*PckKK!*

Tiffania wills the hole to disappear by wiping some sweat from her brow, it wasn't actually an expensive spell to cast, only that it cost a lot of magic to stop it from growing and eventually, if allowed, destroying the world...

"THE MIST IS GONE! CHARGE MEN!" Surtr commands while rushing forward, cutting down a few dragur before ascending up the steps towards the temple.

"DODGE!" some shout as the Dragonpriest above them begins firing large fireballs from the roof of the temple. Magical shields are raised but only block a single spell before breaking, allowing attacks to fall upon the soldiers.

"FACE ME, PRIEST!" Irarus exclaims as he smashes his warhammer into a fireball, causing it to explode right in his face. He tanks it completely, his blessing and armour allow him to continue unharmed.

"FUS RO DAH!" Surtr shouts, causing part of the roof to collapse as the priest backs away to another position.

Nahkriin in response jabs its staff at the entrance of the temple, his staff spewing a huge barrage of lightning that lingers where it's shot. The Lightning Wall spell stopped the invaders from breaching the temple for the time being. Or at least, the priest hoped...

"INCOMING!" a voice calls out from the sky, revealing Michael straddling a falling dragon with its brain exposed.

*BOOOM!*

The corpse collides with the side of the roof, collapsing a good portion of it and knocking the priest to the ground from where it'd previously been levitating. Michael himself had hoped from the dragon just before it landed, leaving him 'gracefully' walking towards the Dragonpriest.

"Kroved! Zu'u fen mur hi kii!" (Defiler! I will render you ash!) the priest growls as it telekinetically collects its dropped staff and floats to a standing position.

"Er, translate Derf?"

"It called you a 'Magnificent specimen of man that deserves a place above Alduin'."

"Really?" Michael asks confusedly.

"Of course not you fool! Kill it already!" the sentient sword exclaims as the priest points its staff at him.

In response, Michael just casts "Mana Void." encapsulating the priest in a bright blue implosion that, while doing no physical damage to it, heavily damages its undead body.

"VOKORASAAL!? HIN BEIN LU NIS KRII ZEY!" (IMPOSSIBLE!? YOUR FOUL MAGIC CAN'T KILL ME!) the undead loudly shrieks despite its now pitiful state. "ZUN HAAL VIIK!"

Derflinger flies out of Michael's hand but the sentient swords shouts his response while in the air, "YOL TOOR SHUL, you ugly bastard!"

*Thwwwooom!*

"AAAAAAAACCKKKKHHHHHHHH!!!"
