People can never change so easily can they?

The grandeur of the palace corridors echoed with Trevor's light footsteps as he made his way towards the conference room. Today was the day he would face the palace's higher-ups, a group of individuals who were skilled in governance but perhaps not as adept in the realm of cultivation as some of Trevor's allies like Lannan and Ferdinand.

With a casual flick of his hand, Trevor adjusted his collar and ran a hand through his hair, ensuring he maintained his charismatic appearance. His confidence was unwavering, even though he knew the council members might not fully grasp the intricacies of his perspective. Trevor laughed to himself. Intricacies of my perspective. What a laugh, I have no idea whats happening.

Entering the conference room, Trevor's entrance garnered the attention of the council. He smiled and nodded to those familiar faces among them. The Minister of War, General of the Army, and various dignitaries sat around the table, their expressions a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

The head of the council, a portly man with a bushy white beard, cleared his throat. "Ah, Mr. Trevor Bianchi, the young king with big ideas. We gather today to discuss the matter of expanding our city."

Trevor took his seat, his gaze sweeping across the faces of the council members. "Thank you for having me here. I believe that our city's growth is not just about space but about strength."

The council exchanged glances, the bushy-bearded man nodding slowly. "Elaborate."

Trevor leaned back, his grin mischievous. "Gladly. I propose the establishment of an alchemy and a blacksmithing division within the city. Our strength doesn't just rely on warriors but on the tools and elixirs they use."

The Minister of War raised an eyebrow, his skepticism evident. "An alchemy division? Do we have the resources for that?"

Trevor's smile didn't waver. "Oh, we do. You'd be surprised what magic a bit of charisma and a few spirit stones can conjure."

The General of the Army leaned forward, his tone dubious. "And a blacksmithing division?"

Trevor nodded. "Indeed. Our weapons need to evolve as much as our warriors. Plus, everyone loves a well-crafted sword, am I right? "

The bushy-bearded head of the council stroked his chin. "Well, young king. Doesn't the shop already sell weapons."

"Expensive weapons, no? What I want is simply cheap and reliable weapons, weapons that people can obtain freely without having to sell half their life."

The other members nodded slightly, neither agreeing nor disagreeing

As the meeting continued, Trevor felt a sense of evil with these council members. Their concerns were valid, their insights valuable, however, they weren't good people. While he might have started the meeting as an outsider, he was leaving as an obstacle to remove.

The council meeting continued, where they talked about boring arse subjects like how to improve the standard of living or things like taxes. Like, all of these guys are just political figures, you got no power now, maybe before, but now...

Like most, Trevor don't like those politicians, scheming away and trying to benefit. Unfortunately, those who truly want to help, well. Too bad for them.

As the meeting wrapped up, the council members exchanged glances, some nodding in approval. Trevor stood up, a sense of anger swelling within him. "Thank you for this fruitful discussion. I believe we're on the right path."

In his head, Trevor was thinking about how these guys are just like the people of old, corrupt and hungry for power, Unfortunately for them, real power exists in this world, something that they cannot stop.

The Minister of War's smile was thin and seemingly genuine, but not at all. "Your enthusiasm is certainly infectious, young King."

Trevor grinned, not letting the slight condescension deter his spirits. "Well, if there's anything I'm good at, it's spreading smiles and bold ideas."

Exiting the conference room, Trevor found himself on the palace's elegant balcony. The cool breeze ruffled his hair. Those dicks only think about themselves. Then again, we are only human. Trevor started sighing once more before going to cultivate again.

People really never change so easily huh?

Just as Trevor started walking away to find something to do, a faint whisper of wind heralded the appearance of someone. Trevor's casual demeanour faltered, replaced by a subtle restraint. His respect for the ancient cultivator was unwavering, even if his usual irreverence might be temporarily subdued, his head lowered slightly to compose himself.

However, when Trevor looked at her again, he just wanted to hug her, so pretty~~

"Jasmine," Trevor greeted, his tone a touch more formal than what he would have had if he didn't control himself.

Jasmine didn't waste any time. "Go to a location 3479 kilometers from here, bearing 079 from sub-city 48. There, a treasure awaits that will enhance your cultivation speed."

Before Trevor could say anything else, Jasmine disappeared

Trevor nodded, absorbing her information. "I'll keep that in mind. Time to embark on another adventure."

Looking away from Jasmine's presence where she once stood, Trevor turned back towards the palace's interior. His heart raced with anticipation, and he knew that this quest was more than just a search for material riches that those guys wish and pray for, it was an opportunity for spiritual enrichment, something real.

In his chambers, Trevor armed himself with a sense of purpose. The treasure hunt called for preparation, and he browsed through the skill catalogue Alice provided. "I need something flashy, yet effective. How about 'Storm-breaker Slash' and 'Celestial Cyclone Thrust'?"

Trevor eventually got both.

Storm-breaker Slash was quite interesting. It made the blade turn unbelievably bright due to the high heat, causing the opponent to go blind, and when the slash contacts the enemy, they are hit by a sword, an electric current and heat the level of the sun.

Celestial Cyclone thrust is more of a growth type skill. Put some Qi into the sword, and thrust the sword. The Qi forms into wind, and eventually into a cyclone engulfing enemies and ripping em' to shreds.

Of course, there are some ways to get these stronger.

Trevor moved over to his private training grounds, fit for the king he most certainly is...

Trevor pulled out his new sword, a rare level one for foundation establishment level cultivators and attempted to do the moves.

A couple hours later, Trevor walked out of the destroyed grounds, which were slowly repairing.

He himself was blacker than Nyakim Gatwech, and damn thats hard. His clothes had all but disappeared and his hair was straight as an arrow.

Nevertheless, his smile was still there. After all, I am just so talented.

[Ha. Talented, yet how many times did you blow up you dingus]

Trevor's black face becaming darker. She's just too intrusive, she even knows about my earth life, and definitely has seen my dragon.

[Its basically the size of a tic tac no? Why you want to defend it. At least you succeeded in starting cultivating air and lighting Qi routes there]

Trevor blushed slightly, though still impossible to see. Its not a tic tac, its at least a pencil long.

Sighing, knowing the he will have to be with this, incredibly beautiful and intelligent woman, he showered and gathered the clones.

Trevor then teleported over to the sub-city and followed Jasmine's direction. Trevor grinned, thinking about Jasmines beautiful face and alluring words. He wandered into the forest along with all his clones.

I got sick, pretty sick. I got hepatitis A and meningitis B.

I'm a player right? haha

Just so you know, I value my lungs okay, I just like women.

Not the whales though. You guys shouldn't like them either. If you like em, well, sorry to say, well not sorry, you have made some poor decisions. If they can't look after themselves, how will they look after you and the kids. You got to switch it up.

Um, really sorry for the shit schedule though.
