Easing Worries

Yue Ying patiently sat quietly in the car, pretending to be knocked unconscious. His face was still covered by the cloth, obstructing his vision. However, thanks to that, he didn't need to pretend to close his eyes.

He felt the twists and turns of the car, quietly mapping out a route in his head. It was at this moment that his hand was lifted up and quietly looked at. Uncomfortable, he frowned at the close contact.

A cool, wet feeling grazed one of the wounds that littered his arm. He stopped himself from twitching, allowing the substance to be dabbed onto his arm. A bandage followed, wrapping around the wound. Yue Ying laughed to himself in his mind.

Even villains have a sense of morals, huh. Yue Ying quietly thought that to himself, smiling slightly under the cover on his face.

It was at this moment that the car stopped abruptly. Yue Ying was lifted suddenly and placed on someone's shoulder. The cover on his face came off for a spilt second, before being replaced by a bag over his head.

Yue Ying frowned at the rough sensation, setting a reminder for himself to put on a face mask later. For such a beautiful body, it would be a pity if it became ruined because of some rough fabric.

He was jostled out of his thoughts as he was placed on a chair. Instantly, ropes were tied around him, securing him to the chair tightly.

"Ah, don't be so rough with him. The Young Master deserves respect, after all." The ropes that were being wound around him paused for a second, before being tied loosely, heeding the unknown person's word.

Yue Ying smiled under the dark cover. He opened his mouth, speaking in a loud and clear voice.

"Might as well be rough. Is kidnapping someone incredibly fun?"

As soon as he said that he lifted his head, looking in the direction of the voice. He tilted his head slightly, as though seeing something that amused him.

Sure enough, the world went silent for a second, before a low laugh came from the direction Yue Ying was looking at.

"You… are a strange person." Footsteps sounded out. A dragging sound came from the side, before coming right in front of him and stopped. Yue Ying followed the dragging sound with his head, smiling underneath the bag.

"Take off the bag, I want to see my catch this time."

The bag was ripped off Yue Ying's face, causing him to become disoriented. The blurry place slowly became sharp in his eyes, allowing him to see the world around him.

He was in some sort of warehouse, with countless of boxes around him. The servant that had kidnapped him was standing to one side, holding the same rope that Yue Ying was bound with. Yue Ying tilted his head left and right, testing his bonds with his hands in the meantime.

The ropes were tied securely, making sure that he couldn't get out from his situation unless he was willing to sacrifice a limb. Yue Ying stopped struggling, choosing to look at the person in front of him.

A youth looked back at him, dressed in a very formal manner. He was sitting casually on the chair he dragged in front of Yue Ying, waiting for him to finish testing his bonds. Seeing Yue Ying's gaze land on him, he smiled, showing off his pearly white teeth. Yue Ying gave a casual smile back.

The youth looked at him curiously, licking his lips as though he saw something appetising. Speaking, his voice came out scratchy, as though he wasn't done with puberty yet.

"Wow… no wonder that Gao Family hid you. You are really a beauty." He stood up, walking around Yue Ying as if examining goods. Yue Ying stayed still, allowing himself to be examined.

"The Gao Family didn't hide me, I hid myself." Casually, Yue Ying slowly said a sentence.

"Hm… how about you come over to my side? You're really beautiful and judging by how you don't seem surprised at all, you probably managed to guess what was happening. How?"

"My source of information doesn't concern you, does it?"

"Hm… true." The youth seemed to be satisfied, sitting back down on the chair in front of Yue Ying.

"…shouldn't you at least act scared? Don't you know what I'm going to do now?"

"Why should I be scared? What I don't know doesn't concern me."

"A scary way to live."

"It's my favourite way to live, unfortunately."

The two people sat in silence, as though waiting for the other to speak. Finally, the youth couldn't hold the silence anymore, moving his chair closer to Yue Ying. He used his right hand to grip Yue Ying's chin, examining his face with a lecherous look.

"I'll tell you anyway. I'm going to disgrace you. So much so that the entire Gao Family will have no other way to save face but to discard you. You'll be back in the streets. Riches to rags."

The youth grinned, showing off a small tiger tooth. If he weren't saying such frightening things, he would look like a cute child.

Yue Ying didn't flinch in the face of the threat, only maintaining his smile. This caused the youth to frown, taking his hand off Yue Ying's face, leaving red finger marks from how hard he gripped Yue Ying's chin.

"…I'll just get to the good part. Come in." At the youth's words, a bunch of strange men walked in, surrounding Yue Ying.

"I'll come back in a bit, give me a good show, okay?" The youth grinned once more, walking out happily.

Once the door to the warehouse closed, the surroundings turned dim. Under the light, the men started to surround Yue Ying closely. Yue Ying frowned, dropping the light smile.

"People nowadays… don't know how to take care of themselves." Shaking his head, he muttered under his breath.

"But then again… a low level world wouldn't understand the concept of proper villainy." At the end of his words, a bright pink smoke burst out from behind him, obscuring him from the view of the men.

The men, noticing the smoke, backed off warily. However, the smoke was much faster than them, surrounding them before they could escape. Unable to get out, they could only breath in the smoke.

Yue Ying walked towards the door in the midst of this, clicking his tongue. He pulled out a piece of wire, bending down to lock pick the lock. With a soft click sound, he opened the door easily, walking out.

The youth was outside, smoking a cigarette. Hearing the sound of the door opening, he turned to it, frowning.

"I told you to say in there and do it for at least an hour, why are you- huh?" Seeing Yue Ying, he was shocked, dropping his cigarette.

"At least an hour? You can do better than that. Assaulting a child barely 12 years old… I thought you would be better at doing this at least." Saying this, Yue Ying walked in front of the youth, who was still in a state of shock.

Looking closely at the youth, his eyes were wide with fear, as though he was seeing some sort of abomination rather then a small 12 year old. He couldn't even move, sinking slowly to the ground, legs soft.

Yue Ying picked him up, dragging him by the hand. Opening the door again, mild grunts could be heard from the inside. Yue Ying smiled, refreshed as he threw the youth in with one hand, displaying a strength not seen by most people.

"Well, since you started this mess, you much finish it okay? A mess must be cleaned up by the person who made it." Saying this, he closed the door. Dragging a chair in front of it, he jammed the door, making sure that the people inside couldn't get out.

Looking at his handiwork, Yue Ying clapped in satisfaction, smiling. He turned around, walking away from the warehouse. A huge road greeted him as he went out. No buildings were in sight, which made Yue Ying frown slightly.

The night was peeking out, overwhelming the day. Yue Ying walked back slowly, following the route that he had memorised. Walking, he watched as the night overcame the day, turning the surroundings dark.

Suddenly, he stopped, as if thinking about something. He placed a hand to his lips, pinching them slightly.

"Zero… I forgot to tell her… it doesn't matter." Throwing out a sentence, he continued to walk, hands now on his head.

Zero had been searching anxiously for the whole night. Going from one road to another, checking all sorts of areas. The sun had already been coming up slowly when she stopped to rest, returning to the house defeated.

She had checked in with Xue Lixue, who also seemed to be in a state of rush. However, she seemed to be doing it very stiffly, almost as if she couldn't understand what was happening. Zero discarded the idea of asking her for help, choosing to do it herself.

Unfortunately, she couldn't even catch a glimpse of Yue Ying. So she had to return in the end, defeated. Going through the door to Yue Ying's painting room, she looked down at the ground.

The floor was pristine, as though someone had taken the time to clean it up. Zero sadly floated to one side. Lifting her head up, she looked towards the window, a tear forming in her eye.

The sunshine poured in, luminating the person sitting in front of the canvas. His black hair turned golden in the light. If she looked really closely, she could almost see wings behind him, blocking out from of the light.

Abruptly, she paused, looking disbelievingly at the figure in front of her. Black eyes looked at her, confused at her sad state. She couldn't help but look again. Rubbing her eyes, she looked at him again, before rubbing her eyes again.

"Yue… Yue Ying?!" Zero spoke, shocked. Yue Ying sat in front of the canvas, waving at her. He looked confused at her emotional state, tilting his head to the side.

"Zero. Welcome back. I didn't think that you would be out. Where did you – oof." Yue Ying stopped speaking as Zero crashed into him, tears wetting a part of his clothes. He awkwardly let the fairy cry on his chest, hands paused in the air.

"You fucking idiot! Where did you go, leaving such a strange trail of blood on the floor? Do you even know how worried I was?! I searched for you the whole night! I was scared that you died!" Zero shouted, tears overflowing. Yue Ying looked at her, baffled at her crying state.

"Ah… uh… I'm sorry? I didn't mean to make you cry. I just went to complete the mission and get rid of annoying pests…"

"You couldn't leave a note? Nothing?!"

"…I'm sorry." Awkwardly, Yue Ying patting Zero's back, looking mighty uncomfortable.

"I'll tell you next time I do something dangerous, ok?"

"You better! Wait… what do you mean you did something dangerous?!"

"Ah…"

Yue Ying patted Zero's back with his hand, narrating what had happened, downplaying a lot of the situation. Zero listened carefully, drying her leftover tears on his clothes, leaving a massive wet stain on the centre of his shirt.

For once, Yue Ying didn't dismissed Zero casually, patting her carefully on the back with his finger, calming her down. He didn't think that something this small would've made her cry so much. He was used to doing things by himself and didn't bother telling anyone what he wanted to do usually.

He could only promise her over and over again that he wouldn't do it again, finally easing her worries after a lot of trouble.
