Ending of Mayhem
Ellianor continued to run with them, his consciousness stable despite his wounds. They ran for what felt like hours. At the end of the tunnel stood a village.
The village was made of metal shacks and some bigger buildings looking like a mix of primitive, yet advanced buildings like blacksmiths, stores, and all kinds of less conventional stores.
Honestly, it was an eyesore rather than something pleasant to the eye, but a place that did not want to kill him was more than welcome at this point.
With a soft and light breath, Ellianor felt his remaining strength wane.
Maybe he could finally rest a little after the adrenaline rush and battles back to back that welcomed him to the surface, just maybe… "Hey, don't give up now! We are almost there, my man!"
