It was the reassuring look of a warrior. Ellianor was green, and Siegfried saw that.
The signs of näivete, and the signs of life at its start, a small, burning ember, but an ember that has been taught, and realized the weight of its life and its duty.
Not a scared greenhorn, but someone who understood his assignment, even if it was shallow knowledge.
Siegfried could trust that person to do the right thing, and that his words were not hollow.
Ellianor admired Siegfried's strength to continue fighting, and to hold on even after his death after a perceived slight and failure.
He was stubborn, and the black-haired man sympathized with that. He understood the feeling because he was stubborn too.
His failures were shallow and meaningless in comparison to Siegfried's, after all, he lived as a lowly human before his life changed so drastically.
Yet, he also understood and knew deep in his heart that Siegfried's battle was not a failure.
